GeoProbe Soil Boring

This is the first part of a three-part series demonstrating how to sample by using either methanol preservation or the En Core Sampler. Here you can see a typical two-person drilling crew, one person does data logging, screening and sampling, and the other person operates the rig.

Traditional Methanol VOC Soil Testing

In the second part of this series, we will demonstrate soil sampling using traditional methanol preservation. Here you see a calibration weight on a balance because the methanol vials the field crew carries with them should be weighed to ensure that there is no loss prior to use.

EnCore VOC Soil Sampling

The final part of this three-part series demonstrates soil sampling with the En Core Sampler. This is the easiest methodology for collecting a soil sample as long as you are able to get the sample to the lab within 48 hours.
